In Banzoville, garbanzo beans do everything. When Zoe discovers there is something else to eat, she keeps it secret until one public refusal of garbanzo tea gets her family exiled. Their search for a new home takes them through communities with rules as peculiar as the ones they left behind. Zoe must decide where she belongs, and what she is willing to do about a town that punished her for saying no.
A funny, satirical novel about belonging, conformity, and finding the nerve to challenge a rule. The manuscript is unpublished.
